ESP32 Ledstrip ws

I came across a guy on Instagram through a viral video showcasing a 1D game using a large LED strip. It immediately sparked a lot of ideas on how I could make it more affordable, cooler, and expand it with more game modes and extra features. (https://www.instagram.com/reel/DQ_fSutEYsu/)

So I immediately got to work on a small prototype:

This proved that even a barebone prototype could be a lot of fun. I ended up playing for about 10 minutes without even realizing it 😅.

Right after that, I started working on a PCB for the second version: pcb

It will include the following features:

  • Individual control of the 12V LEDs inside each button
  • 5V power input via DC jack or USB-C
  • SD card support for saving data, custom game modes, and sounds
  • Built-in audio amplifier with a 3W speaker
  • Support for a 7-segment display (optional, but I plan to integrate it)
  • Support for daisy-chaining multiple units via USB-A, enabling multiplayer with one or multiple LED strips
  • Dedicated power switch
